1. Sinkholes are caused when a crack in underground limestone,They appear when the limestone underneath the soil dissolves resulting in a shift or depression in the surface soil.
2. Florida has so many of them because there are a feature of Florida's natural karst topography and the sinkholes provide a primary pathway for rainwater to replenish subsurface groundwater and that is an important part of the aquifer system that supplies 95% of Florida's drinking water.
3.Due to the cold weather that's been so damaging to Florida's citrus crops this winter has led sinkholes
4. Another hazard besides property damage is price and availability of homeowners insurance. And blocking highways and roads, damaging cars.

Nashville Floods

The Nashville flood was the rising of the Cumberland River it was overflowing from a thunderstorms. The Cumberland River was 50 feet above what it normally is. There are levees and flood control dams to prevent flooding. The problem is that the water levels were too high and powerful for these two things.

This is about the Oil Disaster in Gulf

This was caused from a fire that occured in the oil rig, affecting the whole gulf coast. Louisana is now having problems.There is water pollution which is damage for the ecosystems There are 42,000 gallons of oil are leaking out into the ocean everyday. They are trying to do stuff to fix it but its failing.
